We’ve been building beautiful custom homes in northern Vermont since 1991. Like many family-owned businesses, our company story began with a personal pursuit. We wanted to build a home for our family that blended the traditional designs of the classic farmhouses we loved with the functionality and flow of a modern, open interior. In doing so, we discovered a passion for home building and design, and became connected with great resources and subcontractors in the area. Over the past 30 years, Gordon Dixon Construction has built more than 60 homes for families of all sizes and preferences.
Though our roots are in the Vermont vernacular style, our projects have evolved to include a variety of styles, ranging from classic Vermont farmhouses to large contemporary timber-framed homes. We also have completed a number of commercial projects, including several offices, a state-of-the-art medical building, a school, an athletic facility and a restaurant/lodge. Our commercial projects have received awards for leadership in Green Building.
Building a home is a deeply personal experience. We maintain open lines of communication with our clients throughout the process to ensure that the finished product meets their needs and expectations. Our experienced team of project managers, foremen, carpenters, and office staff works closely together to build quality homes that we know our customers will enjoy for years to come.
